Plotting points on ti nspire cx cas

how would i plot points in 3D on the ti nspire cx cas? similar these 3 for example: (-iv,0,-1), (3,1,-5), (2,4,six)

Mathematica or Sage or MATLAB would be good choices. Equally for the TI, I would just read your transmission. TI manuals are pretty well-written, I think. If y'all read your manual and still have issues, let united states of america know the particular trouble you lot accept.

Quite an advancement in engineering over the years. You lot're lucky to be able to utilise a graphing calculator for Calc iii. At the university I'm starting next month, I'1000 but allowed the Abrupt-520 calculators, or none at all.
yikes. some instructors don't allow at all. others allow SOMETIMES on some exams if needed otherwise no. just i always like to know how to practice on calculator and by hand.

The teachers choices, only even in the engineering brochure they send out, they tell y'all which calculators to purchase: either some casio calculator, or the sharp 520. So it's the whole technology department policy, not certain about the math and physics side.
i just started attending the university in my area and just because i couldn't empathise the technology they want u.s.a. to employ because of how advanced it is, i have to have calc 3 at my community college instead. :p
I'k curious, what exercise you consider the benefit of a (whatever) graphical calculator? Except of course that it is required on high schoolhouse? I would always choose a laptop with for instance Wolfram|Alpha over any graphical reckoner. Equally far as I tin tell, the simply reason not to, is because it won't be allowed in high school.

Not sure about the OP, but in loftier school, we were forced to get the TI graphing calculators because the teachers stressed that information technology was a necessary tool to learn to use. Now that I think nearly information technology, that argument does not hold. The only benefit I see is that it is portable, but so is a handheld device with W|A. Peradventure information technology's useful for students in a classroom environment; not sure anybody in the course would accept admission to a computer or device.

It's true that WolframAlpha has become increasingly tedious to apply due to the advertisements and removed functionality (though it still understands plain Mathematica code for when english simply doesn't cutting information technology).
If yous are a student y'all can get a educatee Mathematica license which, while nevertheless expensive, is somewhat affordable compared to the full license. Information technology may not be the best investment in high school (I recollect you need to be in university/college anyway to be eligible) merely if you are going to be pursuing higher math education information technology'due south a great tool that is well worth the cost IMHO.
